About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant staff member to join the team at MOLEK GARDEN HOTEL SDN. BHD. The hotel is located in Taman Molek, Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort that our guests expect during their stay

Responsibilities
  • Key responsibilities
  • 1. Clean and prepare guest rooms and bathrooms to the highest standards, including changing bed linens, restocking toiletries and amenities, and removing waste
  • 2. Inspect rooms and common areas for damage, maintenance issues, or safety concerns and report these to management promptly
  • 3. Maintain and organise housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained
  • 4. Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, window cleaning and detailed sanitisation on a scheduled basis
  • 5. Clean and maintain public areas including corridors, lobbies, dining areas and recreational facilities to ensure a welcoming environment
  • 6. Follow all health, safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and use of personal protective equipment
  • 7. Respond promptly to guest requests and special cleaning requirements with professionalism and courtesy
  • 8. Collaborate effectively with other housekeeping staff and hotel departments to ensure seamless operations
  • 9. Report any maintenance issues, lost and found items or guest concerns to the housekeeping supervisor
Requirements
  • 1. Fresh/previous experience in housekeeping, hotel cleaning, or a similar hospitality cleaning role
  • 2. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • 3. Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy items, and work on your feet for extended periods
  • 4. Excellent organisational and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
  • 5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • 6. Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset
  • 7. Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude towards work
  • 8. Flexibility to work office hours, including weekends as required
