Managed comprehensive tax affairs for Malaysia, including the calculation, filing, and ledger management of SST (Sales and Service Tax)—covering both input and output—Corporate Income Tax, PCB (Personal Income Tax), Withholding Tax, and Stamp Duty, ensuring full tax compliance. 2. Manufacturing cost accounting: BOM aggregation, work order costing, allocation of costs for work-in-progress (WIP), and cost variance analysis. 3. Reviewed expense claims, determined eligibility for SST input tax credits, and standardized expense recording; managed accounts receivable and payable, reconciled inter-company accounts, performed aging analysis, and calculated bad debt provisions. 4. Managed the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including ledger maintenance, physical inventory counts and write-offs, and depreciation calculation; tracked differences between accounting depreciation and tax capital allowances. 5. Handled import/export accounting: verified customs declarations and calculated import duties and import SST; managed cross-border payment/receipt reconciliation (local and foreign currency), month-end exchange rate adjustments, and realized/unrealized exchange gain/loss calculations. 6. Performed month-end closing and financial statement preparation; coordinated with external auditors and tax authorities, and handled financial reporting to the parent company. 7. Managed comprehensive treasury and cashier functions: daily receipts and payments, payroll and tax remittances, cash ledger maintenance, and cash flow reporting; managed online banking security tokens (U-keys) and controlled treasury risks. 8. Established financial policies and procedures; managed the filing and archiving of physical and electronic records for accounting vouchers, tax documents, import/export records, asset data, and audit materials.
- 1. Experienced in finance within the Malaysian manufacturing sector; proficient in work order costing, allocation of costs for work-in-progress (WIP), and cost analysis.
- 2. Well-versed in Malaysian taxation; capable of independently handling filings for SST, corporate income tax, PCB (monthly tax deduction), WHT (withholding tax), and stamp duty.
- 3. Experienced in the financial aspects of import and export operations; familiar with customs documentation, import duties and taxes, and foreign currency accounting.
- 4. Proficient in ERP systems; capable of independently managing the full spectrum of accounting functions as well as treasury and cash management duties.
- 5. Skilled in fixed asset management with an understanding of tax-book differences; familiar with MYR and foreign currency settlements, banking liaison, and treasury compliance.
- 6. Strong reading and writing skills in both Chinese and English; meticulous and detail-oriented; capable of independently handling all responsibilities of the role.
