Retail Assistant / Cashier

We are looking for a friendly, responsible and customer-oriented Retail Assistant / Cashier to join our team at Plaza GM Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for assisting customers, handling cashier transactions, arranging products and supporting the day-to-day operations of the retail outlet. The role also involves promoting products and providing good customer service to help drive sales. The ideal candidate is approachable, responsible, comfortable dealing with customers and willing to work in a busy retail environment.

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Retail, cashier or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates and candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
• Friendly, approachable and comfortable communicating with customers.
• Basic numeracy skills and able to handle cash accurately.
• Responsible, honest and detail-oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and willing to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Able to work according to the required schedule, including Sunday.
• Willing to work on-site at Plaza GM Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur.

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Operate the cashier counter and process cash, card and other payment transactions.
• Issue receipts and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
• Handle customer enquiries and provide basic product information.
• Promote products and assist customers with their purchases.
• Support daily sales activities and achieve assigned sales targets when required.
• Arrange, replenish and display merchandise neatly.
• Check product availability and assist with stock management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail area.
• Assist with stock receiving, checking and basic inventory duties.
• Handle exchanges or customer requests according to company procedures.
• Perform daily cashier closing and basic cash reconciliation.
• Support other store operations and duties as assigned.
