Retail Sales Assistant

Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner. Introduce and explain Milk & Barley’s range of freshly baked products, beverages, gift sets, and seasonal promotions. Recommend suitable products based on customers’ preferences and provide excellent customer service. Handle customer orders, sales transactions, cashless payments, and operate the POS system accurately. Prepare, pack, and present bakery products according to Milk & Barley’s quality and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, organisation, and attractive product displays throughout the outlet. Assist with stock receiving, stock replenishment, inventory checking, and regular stock counts. Monitor product freshness and expiry dates and report any damaged, expired, or low-stock items to the Supervisor/PIC. Support daily outlet opening and closing procedures, including POS and outlet preparation. Follow all company SOPs, food safety, hygiene, attendance, and customer service standards. Support the Supervisor/PIC and other team members in daily outlet operations as required.

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Basic math skills for cash handling
